TOHFAN offer various services mainly in the agricultural sector, just to mention a few;
Ploughing in farming is a procedure for initial cultivation of soil in preparation for sowing seed or planting to loosen or turn the soil. We at TOHFAN offer tractor Ploughing. We majorly carry out Disc ploughing, which is an attached blade used to cut the earth. The plough represents one of the major advances in agriculture.
The primary purpose of ploughing is to turn over the upper layer of the soil, bringing fresh nutrients to the surface, while burying weeds, the remains of previous crops and allowing them to break down. As the plough is drawn through the soil it creates long trenches of fertile soil called furrows. In modern use, a ploughed field is typically left to dry out, and is then harrowed before planting. Plowing and cultivating a soil homogenizes and modifies the upper 12 to 25 cm of the soil to form a plow layer. In many soils, the majority of fine plant feeder roots can be found in the topsoil or plow layer. (Wikipedia 2015)
We at TOHFAN offer disc harrowing service, tractor-driven and are raised hydraulically. Disc harrows are primarily used to chop up soil that has been recently ploughed to eliminate clumps and loosen the soil if it has been packed. They are also used to chop up old crops, such as cornstalks, to make the land easier to plough and to eliminate clogging in the ploughing process. It is also used to chop up unwanted weeds or crop remainders. (Wikipedia 2015)
Disc Harrow is suitable for pulverizing and loosening clods after ploughing and for preparing the land before sowing on cultivated land, it can make soil and fertilizer mix up, and clean away the stump of plants.(unique-tractor 2015)
Ridging is a process of making a long narrow upper section or crest of a wave of top soil. In agriculture a strip of ground thrown up by a plough or left between furrows (a bed ground). We at TOHFAN provide ridging services across Nigeria.

We now carry out threshing of the following crops; Maize, Rice, Wheat, Soya Beans and Sorghum, threshing is the process of loosening the edible part of cereal grain (or other crop) from the scaly, inedible chaff that surrounds it. It is the step in grain preparation after harvesting and before winnowing, which separates the loosened chaff from the grain. Our services can be onsite (move our equipment to your farm site).
